Just sold my panerai 111 that's going to be replaced by a 424.
Will be looking into getting my first Panerai here soon. Most likely the Submersible. Will by far be the burliest one in the mix by a mile. Have you had good luck with yours?

Like your IWC, I only bring out the Yachmaster I platinum when a suit is being worn and exceptional aesthetic is necessary. Great wrist presence, I think, for a medium sized Rolex.

I love technology, particularly mechanical technology with precision craftsmanship.

That said, I really can't wear any jewelry anymore. Ten years turning a wrench got me accustomed to none and now when I put anything on, I find it just irritates me.

Too bad. I could really geek out on a beautiful watch. Then again, a watch worth more than my first ten vehicles combined would probably not be the smartest purchase I've ever made. Not the stupidest either, but I'd like to think that I've made marginal progress.

Probably my favorite watch. I had some issues with the crown guard and had to replace the barrel, but I didn't have it serviced for over 7 years so it was due.

If your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, your watch is as well, so it's mirroring anywhere within Wi-Fi range, like your entire house. I make and take phone calls on the watch, receive and dictate texts, arm and disarm my alarm system, monitor my security cameras, ask Siri a question, use Apple Pay, check the weather, whatever the phone does. It even motivates me to exercise more.

The same seamless technology that today gives the Apple Watch such functionality is immediately transferable to vehicle infotainment systems.. Imagine the Apple Watch screen simply made bigger and placed in the same location as the screen on our F-Types. It would be totally driven by your phone.

If you're an Android person, similar devices are on the way as usual about 6-12 months behind Apple.

It's two thumbs up for me to have a watch that's finally more useful for something other than looking pretty and telling the time.

I did not wear a watch since I got my first Smartphone, but bought a Fitbit Surge this summer, to keep a better track of my workout and other fysical activities.

It works ok and I will probabely use it for a while - till I get boored of it. When that happens I doubt I will replace it with another "smart" watch - or any other watch

Just like the F-Type R that I drive, I'm into performance from my watch. Therefore...Apple Watch.

I like it quite a bit. If you ever want to get one, let me know and I will share how I bought mine at a very good price.

If there is one watch I have always wanted it would be the Rolex Yachtmaster II. I grew up racing sailboats and dreamed about having one. But at $36k Id be scared to death to accidentally leave it in my golf bag and have it fall out on the course to be lost forever (actually happened to me but thankfully with a cheap knockoff). I can't be trusted with toys I might lose. That's why I got the FType....they are kinda hard to misplace.

Yep. I hate it when I occasionally forget to wear my Apple Watch.

And I stopped wearing my Rolex Presidential years ago because it made no sense to wear a watch anymore with my phone as a timepiece. It's still sitting in a drawer somewhere. Anyone want to buy a killer Rolex Presidential??

My Yachtmaster (stainless/gold, mother of pearl dial with diamonds/sapphires. Retail $20k-pawn shop cost $6500. Only way to go on high end watch purchases.

I don't wear my Omega much, however this is very light. Carbon composite case with a titanium core and sapphire caseback. Dial markers on the raw cut carbon fiber dial.

Lacroix skeleton very well done, much more expensive from legacy brands. Have my eye on a 2-tone Yachtmaster II coming up in a Fed. seizure auction, might get lucky if few foreign buyers! I think I've mentioned my last career was managing a high end jewelry and watch store. My son in law is an expert at these gov't auctions, sometimes gets in early with an accepted bid, if so I'll have a Yachtmaster.
