I thank some of you for the positive techinical feedback. This discussion is to throw around ideas and look at how we can push this car into new territory. Isn't that what a lot of us are trying to do? Was a Nissan GTR the cheapest platform to run 7s in the quarter mile? NO! IT'S BEING DONE!
There are some intelligent people in this forum who can contribute to this chat. If I wanted to go fast "cheaply/easily'' I'd own a project car ex. Mustang, Hellcat and push 1000+HP out of them No Problem! I own an F-Type "project car'' because I really love the F-Type and am willing to push it into new territory. Do I want to be the guinea pig... I havn't decided yet...

Our biggest enemy in the V8 is the open deck design, to put out big numbers you'll need to have a custom made sleeve support so the top end of the cylinders don't start to wobble and cause catastrophic failure. If you ever take a look at the V6 block, it's partially closed deck thanks to the way they converted it from the V8 block. The high power turbo 4pot scene has been doing the cylinder support sleeves for a while, but you'd have to send in your block to a shop for them to custom CNC the plate, no small feat for many F-type owners.
It’s definitely not your standard weekend project. I’ve recently inherited a 2003 f150 Harley Davidson truck that I’m slowly putting some money into. It’s somewhat of a way to educate myself more before I get into the Jag’s motor. It’s an interesting contrast if you look into the lightningrodders.com forum with how everything has been done to those motors to the point where there’s almost a recipe book to modding the truck to a 9 second 1/4 mile. Building the short block is thrown around like an everyday term. With the F type, it’s fun to watch it unfold in real time slowly achieving better ET’s with new mods.

+1. Crank, rods, pistons would need to be upgraded. There there’s the cooling issue.

That’s not a streetable 670hp. Driveability would be problematic under normal driving conditions. Only for track applications.I believe he bored and stroked it in addition to fitting a larger SC.

It's street-able. Reliability is there. It's a tad nervous but even in back twisties it behaves well so long as you can drive

Well behaved at idle and navigating parking spaces? That’s what I meant about streetable.

Sure, so long as you are not in dynamic (or have the engine setting off in dynamic) so you can modulate the throttle as needed. The challenge comes in after 3000RPM if you get a tad to carried away in turns and you don't know how to handle it. That is why I avoided doing this on RWD cars with "wannabe racers".
This was on snow/ice (bad road conditions) and shows the pedal positions in the middle screen (dynamic motor off setting)
