thanks for posting the picture, newer cars have a different camera set up so you get to keep your high beam assist. Earlier cars will lose their high beam assist to have this sleek look.
I have the FITCAMX on another car and happy with the 4K image. Unit does run a bit hot so may or may not affect longevity of the unit but I guess that’s the case with most dashcams anyway. The video it records is pretty basic. No gps positioning or speed recorded in the video.
For my f-type I now have the Vantrue E1-Pro which is much more advanced but obviously not as sleek. They are a forum sponsor and have a small discount for members but only found this out after I bought mine.
I installed the Vantrue S1 Pro Max with rear camera, in my wife’s car. Works great but I need to go back and turn off the wife-mode. Sucker keeps talking to be about how I drive, lol…
In my children’s cars, I installed the Azdome M300S units.
The FitcamX is the best looking solution as it is nearly invisible. But with the FitcamX make absolutely sure the loop recording works. For some time the loop recordings stopped as soon as the memory card was full. An email to the company was required to get new firmware to fix it (it's not available on their website). I would double check your camera is properly loop recording regardless of the brand, as the last thing you want is finding this out after an accident. These cams require tending to, to update time and date settings, firmware, and check loop recording...
Also wiring the rear cam and fixing it to the license plate in the convertible can be found here:

Closely compare the images on this website to the fitcamx website. The pictures are identical for the most part. It looks to me this oewitness one is the exact same product at almost double the price.
One other consideration for convertible drivers: For the rear camera, the cylindrical shape ones have a mount that is supposed to stick to the rear windshield with double side tape. This obviously won't work for the convertible. Look for a product that has a rear camera that you can screw onto a license plate mount.
You could buy just the FitcamX front unit for its aesthetics and add the rear camera - any aftermarket one will do as they all use the same plug.
