Greetings to all!!
This is Bill G, from NE Pa. I'm a very happy new owner of my 1st F-Type. I've been searching off and on for a few years now, and I finally found a V6 S with 6-speed manual in a color combo I like.
It's Santorini Black with Brogue leather, and 20" ten-spokes. It's in excellent condition, with just over 28k miles.
As for cars I've owned in the past: it's hard for me to say. I think I'm up to about 110 cars and over 50 motorcycles!
I've been nuts about cars since the 1950s. I can remember when my friends and I couldn't wait for Sept. That's when all the new American cars started appearing on our local streets. It's hard to believe they actually re-tooled for new sheet metal every year!!
I currently own 29 vehicles:
14 cars, 13 cycles and 2 trucks.
I decided to hit the 30-mark before I start to sell off some of the projects I've had to admit I'll never get to finish!
To that end, I just put a deposit on the "holy grail" of cycles (IMO): an all original 1982 Honda CBX.
Before you get jealous, please know that I'm not a wealthy man. I just worked hard for 47 years, never smoked, gambled or drank (not too much!).
I've always bought what I liked, and I like what I've bought. Instead of buying stocks, bonds, etc like a few of my more mundane friends, I bought big-boy toys.
This is the year that I will turn 73, so it's mandatory that I start pulling money from my 401k. Needless to say, I have withdrawn much more than the minimum required amount this year- and it's only January!
Cheers to all my fellow enthusiasts,
Bill G.

Of most interest was a brand new 2013 Corvette 427 convertible 60th anniversary edition. At a cost of over 90k I was hoping it would give me many years of trouble free fun.
What I got was a major pain in the *** beginning at just 2000 miles when the engine totally seized on me. They found titanium shavings in the engine oil due to a manufacturing defect that several people across the country experienced with the LS7 engine.
Long story short they replaced the engine so I had a new car with non- matching numbers from the start. The car was very fast and there were some good times but during the nine years I owned it there were multiple issues with the car so I finally gave up on it and purchased my 2017 F-Type. I’ve had the car for 2 1/2 trouble free years and it has been a joy. I finally have a beautiful car I can count on without wondering what will break next. I should have made the switch years earlier.

Well, a lot of stuff that won't inspire much envy, but I found something to love in all of them.
1954 Jeep wagon. Dad's fishing car. I learned to drive in this one.
1964 Fairlane inherited from my family. Three on the tree.
1962 I think Corvair. First car I bought. Unsafe at any speed, especially when your girlfriend mistakes the tiny gear shift lever (2 speed automatic) on the dash for the heater control and drops you into reverse on the highway. I got busted in this car in Quanah TX
1969 Olds 442. My Dad's mid-life crisis. Proud to say I never dented it. My kid brother killed it.
1957 matte finish eggshell blue Impala, Ex Austin city car. "Hot water 6". You could live in it. When the battery died I could push start it in reverse just by sticking my left leg out,
A pair of Bugs, 65 and 66. Combined total of 250,000 miles. These cars lived thru my first attempts at turning a wrench.
1974 Dodge Duster. It was free, OK?
1965 Fiat. My girlfriend/wife's car. Fun, but at no time that she owned it was it ever NOT leaking fuel. Eventually exploded and burned down on the 101 in LA.
1983 Honda Civic. Replaced the Fiat. Did not burn up. Great appliance.
1984 Mazda GLC My first new car, 4 speed, seriously annoying lash in the drive train. I put in a great, for the time, sound system.
1990 Volvo 740 Station Wagon. The ultimate Family Trickster. Unbelievably comfortable, fast enough, huge space. Taught two daughters to drive in this car and it survived two high school careers. Sold it in 2005 with 250,000 on the odometer.
2007 Honda Accord. My wife's replacement for her Civic. V6, decently quick, great car to cover miles in
1988 BWM 325i Cabriolet Thought I would be buried in this car I loved it so much
1990 Miata. Bought it stock. Autocrossed it for years, then built it into fully caged track race car making 160 HP. Yup, I'm the guy who was dumb enough to build a car he could have bought for a third the cost. Doh! Raced it all over California for years.
Sold the BMW after 15 years for more than I paid for it used and bought the F-Type, which was pristine with only 4,000 miles on it. I think I will be buried in this car.

@Michael211 what a write-up, sir! Thank you so much for sharing some memorable moments from your motoring journey. 👏👏👏
I've had a fair variety of engine configurations. I had a lot of years where my primary transportation was a motorcycle, hence the 1, 2 cylinder:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 cylinders
Inline, V, H (boxer), L
Air-cooled, water-cooled
OHV, OHC
two-stroke (pre-mix and oil injection), four-stroke
Naturally aspirated, turbocharged, supercharged
Carbureted (single and multi), fuel injection
Missing:
EV
10, 12, 16 cylinder, rotary, turbine
180 degree V (non-boxer H), radial, square
diesel
Side-valve, rotary valve
I'm obviously not done, but expect some of those will never grace my driveway.
Edit: Forgot a few things

Wow, what made you sell the Viper? They fetch a good US$70K these days. Do you think they're worth it?
Did not sell it. Still have it. Have to respect that car. It will kill you. My heirs will sell the car. I never will. They are not as fast as the FType. You are limited by your ability as a driver. It is easier to just mash an accelerator.
Also, it is a very dangerous car to drive compared to others for the reason of people weaving into your lane to get a glimpse of you. You are a rock star when you drive the car. Foreign exotics turn invisible when that car is on the lot. Worth it? If you have the spare cash a Gen II is the way to go. The "new" ACR for 300k? No damn way.
