Default What changes for MY2019.5?

I’ve noticed that Jaguar has a build code for 2019.5 cars, 001CM. Does anyone know what were the changes made for MY2019.5 over MY2019? I mean, I assume they don’t make mid-year model year designations as a matter of course or for no reason…

Any insight is appreciated!

Could it be the full facelift? My cars is MY2019 and has the 10" multimedia screen, android auto etc and the updated headlights. Some cars I've seen that are 2018 cars have the old style lights but have the 10" multimedia screen..

Thanks. 2018s with facelift and 8” screen, yeah. But 2019s? I think you may be onto something with the Smartphone Pack (AA/CarPlay); there was something about some VIN range being eligible for dealer update. Maybe it was early MY19 cars that had 10” screens?

Seems a little odd to do a mid-year designation just for softwate update, though…

I'm not sure, but I've seen 2018 cars with 10" screens and the previous generation headlights whereas my 2018 MY19 has the 10" screen with the updated headlights.

Here's an example of what I mean, 2018 car old style headlights with 10" screen
here

And the same 2018 car with updated headlights
here

Regards

Thanks. The issue of model year is somewhat confusing itself, particularly when considered in the context of the UK compared to the US. In the UK, the model year concept is linked to registration year, but that’s not the case here in USA, where model year is determined by the manufacturer.
statement.

I think I’m more interested in Jaguar’s internal coding and model year designations, less about build date, and nothing of registration date. For your MY19, do have a build code for MY19? I’m looking at car that has a build date of 12/19, but a build code stating MY19.5, and a VIN code 145CD noted as “2019.5 Model Year Parts.”

Because of that clear noting at Jaguar, I just wonder what those MY19.5 parts are, and what distinguishes MY19.5 builds from MY19 builds…if there is any at all. It could just be procedural, I suppose.

Yes its confusing why they do that. My vehicle was registered September 2018, the VIN number doesn't inlcude145CD nor does any of the docs that came with car.

It was late MY18 cars that had the 10" screens.
