49 y.o. anesthesiologist. Was looking for something newer, bigger, "better" than my Z4. Became obsessed with F-type. Went to buy a V6 S convertible, but also drove a V8. Game over!

35, Oncology Scientist, Taiwanese. I can't believe they let me buy a car that's this loud on purpose. IRR/Cirrus V8S Vert. I almost wasn't the demographic for this car due to height (6'3"). I tested out a F430, R8, V8V, Z06, V8S, V8R, V6S. Never considered Jag before.

28 - tech company in Redmond. This is my first Jag. Wanted the F-Type R Coupe ever since I saw it first on the internet. On a similar note, I will be adding the F-Pace to my garage as soon as it launches here as well.

54 - Procurement Manager in media from Norway. Most of my adult life I have been driving sport motorcycles with trackdays as the favorite hobby. I gave that up a few years ago, and bought my first sportscar. When the F-type came out I knew that was a car I really wanted. Car taxes (primarely based on bhp and CO2) makes powerfull sportscars very expencive here, and I was planning to buy a new V6S. However with the help of a friend in Germany I ended up buying a second hand R with just a few miles on it and in very good shape.

This being a US oriented site I can mention that another favorite of me and my wife is going to Key Largo, Florida for some active holidays. We have done so more or less every year for the last 15 years, and I love fishing and snorkeling outside Key Largo - the last mentioned can be seen here (from last year):

30. Small business owner in the medical field. Was torn between '16 C63-S but didn't want to wait. I think the F type will hold me over until the R8 is readily available.

24 Registered Nurse. Always had an eye for the F-type, but could not live with an automatic, until Jaguar released the 2016s with a Manual Transmission.

57; retired USAF (1981-2002) and currently working for the USAF as a contractor - Currently looking to buy a 2016 F Type R convertible. I have been a Corvette owner since 1985 and am on number 6. I was going to get a new 2016 Z06 convertible but too many issues right now. My first Jaguar was a 1998 XJR and I really enjoyed that car. I've been driving a 2007 Ferrari F430 for a couple of years but it's time for something more user friendly. The F Type R will suit those needs. I've been a car guy since birth.

Current garage fillers:

55. 1 white-cat short of being a Super Villain.
Suffered 31 years with a Triumph TR6 (I get attached to my rides, it takes a long time to amortize the options Q gets me).
F-Type stole my heart, my new mistress she is.
First car owned was a Jaguar.

28 and work in IT

Just bought a 2015 F-Type R in white with black pack, second owner on as I couldn't bring myself to buy new. I wanted to pretty bad but decided it would be stupid. Traded in my 2009 Corvette 2LT / Z51... never looking back.

It's incredible how much better the Jaguar is. Looked at the Z06, 911 Carrera, Cayman, GTR, nothing comes close.

Life is short, you've got to live it up while you're still here. Cheers!

34, male, System Administrator. This is my first Jaguar. Historically, my vehicles have been '86 Mustang (gifted from a family member), '01 Pontiac Grand Prix (bought myself),'06 Kawasaki Z750S, '12 Ford Fiesta, '14 Kawasaki Concours-14, '15 F-Type.

I originally bought the Pontiac because I liked the exterior styling and needed something to replace that worn out Mustang. I went motorcycle only for about 5 years after the Zed, bought the Fiesta because I was tired of rain, upgraded both the motorcycle and the car in the last 2 years to get more fun, more powerful, more comfortable machines.
