Default Why does my new F Type turn off?

When I put it in park quite often the car turns off on me. I cannot figure out if it has to do with my taking my foot off the brake or not. I have tried finding out in the manual but no luck. It's a new 2016 awd and I'm loving everything about it but this is a bit annoying. Please send your wisdom my way.

It's the auto stop/start. The owner's manual should describe operation.

Simply press this button every time you start the Car to disable stop/start ECO mode. It's always on by default, unless you're in sport mode.

haha, had to fill up in JOYSY yesterday. So I pulled into gas station and car turns off as I come to s top at the pump. The attendant was so quick to open the door and asking what I needed, gave him my credit card and and he went to fill up. So I "forgot" to actually shut down the car .... a few moments later the car started up again which under a gas station roof with the capristo exhaust and open valves during start up is comparable to somebody firing both barrels of a shotgun right next to your head .... everybody jumped ... very awkward ....

I was going to ask this question as well. I am not sure if it is related to the eco mode or not because there are times when the car completely turns off after I put it in park (engine as well as the display behind the steering wheel) and other times when only the engine turns off and the display has the green eco icon.

One annoyance solved by a SmartTop - the roof doesn't stop when you shut off the engine.
