Default Will a 10 inch wide wheels fit in the front of the F-Type

Looking to get a set of 20x10 with offset 40 to replace my damaged stock 20" Carbon Blade wheels. Does anyone know or has installed 10 inch wide wheels on the front? I have a 2014 F-Type V8S if that matters.

10” will fit easily, but I wouldn’t go less than a 45 offset. BTW, what size tire would you use?

Whatever tire size that will fit and not rub. I was using the fitment industry website and for some reason it shows 20x10 offset 40 as compatible

It’s possible that it might fit, but the rim face will be 27mm outboard from the OEM position (12mm due to the wider wheel plus 15mm due to the reduced offset). Add to that another 5mm for the 265/35 tires that will be needed for proper fitment. The tire width will need to be 265mm-285mm to fit properly on a 10” wide wheel.

Ah I see, would the rim face my closer to stock if I get a 20x8.5? The wheels I'm looking at only offer widths of 8.5 and 10, not 9 inches.

Were you planning on using 10” in back as well?
Are the wheels offered with any other offset?
please provide a link to the industry fitment site. I’d like to see what info they are providing. Those wheel specs would be better suited for the rear of the car.

Here's the wheel I was looking at: https://www.fitmentindustries.com/bu...Type&trim=V8+S

Here is a list of the available sizes for that wheel: https://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_sebring.php

It looks like the only offset offered is 40

Look carefully at the application chart for the F-Type. Only the 20x8.5 Sebring wheel is listed, even though the 20x10 will work just fine on the rear. The 20x8.5 will work in front, but you won’t properly fit anything more that the stock size 255/35 tire on that wheel.

Hi there,

do we have anybody here running on 10 inch in the front?

Currently I am on KW HAS springs and considering 20x10 with ET48

I know this means 1 inch closer to the suspension strut and was wondering if anybody experimented (or has) 10" wide rims

Thanks!

I saw this and IMO provided data is incorrect.
Same car and wheel - this time on Ferrada's official website:

Try your rear wheel on the front and see if these is any issue. They are close enough to your wanted spec, 10.5 @ 38 ET

If you go for a 10" rim on front it seems you can go to a 295 tyres and if you match it with a rear 12" a whopping 335, with correct offset of course.

I don't need so much rubber. 265 on 10" front plus 295 on 11" in the rear should be just enough

Reason I ask for 10" in front is much more pronounced concave vs 9"

The factory suspension, alignment (over all dynamics) of the cars engineering is based on 255 fronts and 295 rears... why does everybody think wider is better especially on a AWD F-Type? Save the most weight possible by sticking to factory spec and go with a quality forged wheel and some stickier tires!

How to explain 265/305 OEM combo on SVR?

The SVR suspension has stiffer control arm bushing and other mods over the R!

So your final recommendation for AWD R would be 255 on 9.5 front + 295 on 11 rear?
