Default Window Sticker vs. TOPix build record discrepency

I'm hoping someone out there can shed some light on a mystery. I purchased a used 2020 P300 coupe (VIN LCK68974) a couple of months ago. It is a wonderful car and a great find. The car only had 3300 miles on it when I bought it in February 2025. It was built in December 2019 but not sold by Scarborough Jaguar in Maine until June of 2021. Obviously the car was rarely driven and was sold or traded in early July 2024. From there CarMax acquired it and I bought it from them. When I got the car there were boxes of Jaguar F-Type accessories that had never been opened. To say I am pleased is an understatement. Prior to purchase I obtained the Monroney window sticker for the car which detailed some of the obvious options and here is where the mystery is. I noticed that there are numerous options not listed on the window sticker, so I bought an hour of TOPix time and downloaded the build record. The car came equipped with the optional Panoramic Roof, 770W surround sound system, Blind Spot assist, Power Tail Gate just to name a few. There are many more. I asked my local Jaguar Dealer how this could be and they had no answer. Has anyone ever experienced this with a Jaguar product?? Like I said I am pleased beyond words with the car but sure would like to get to the bottom of not only why wasn't it driven and how did all the optional features get built into the car and not charged for?? Thoughts!!!

I think you have two issues. First, those reproduction Monroney stickers are not as accurate as the actual Monroney that came from the factory. Search here for "Monroney" and you will find others who found issues with reproduction Monroney stickers. Second Topix can have errors as well.

In my case I bought my 2018 new. I have the original Monroney that came from the factory with the car. It is 100% accurate. I also have the Topix build sheet for my car. There are a few mistakes in it.

The Topix build sheet for my car lists the paddle shifters as silver. They are actually red. It also lists a lane change merge aid which I don't think I have.

For the two sources you have I would trust the Topix list more than the reproduction Monroney.

I was wondering about the accuracy of the Monroney but so far the TOPis has been accurate as to what is installed on the car. I may try calling the dealer in Maine to see if they can shed some additional light on the subject. At least I'm the plus category!!

Try asking the dealer if they can get you a copy of the actual Monroney. Anything the dealer provides would be more accurate than anything you can buy from a third party.

Agree with above. The reproduction Monroneys are totally inaccurate, they refunded my cost when the one I got back showed no options when in fact the build sheet showed multiple options.

Smile More Added Mystery

As an update to my previous post, I procured a window sticker from another source and it clarified some things and deepened the mystery on others. This window sticker (see attached) is much more like the official sticker I have for my 2007 XKR. When I first started looking for F-Types and saw this one on the CarMax site it said it was a Checkered Flag edition. From the pictures in the listing I could see it had the 18" wheels and none of the Checkered Flag trim and interior appointments. I negotiated the price down to that consistent with a base P300. Only after having the car for a while and finding all the extra options on the car did I start exploring the car's origins. There are still some things on the car not listed on either window sticker such as the Panoramic Roof and the 770W Surround Sound system. I'm really up in the air as to exactly what I have?? One thing that might enter into the equation is that the facelift 2021 models began production in December 2019. My car was built in December 2019. Did Jaguar "load up" some leftover pre-facelift bodies to better than Checkered Flag standards and because they ran out of the Checkered Flag seats, badging etc. and sold them "as is"?? I have been in contact with the selling dealer in Scarborough, Maine and they are looking into the cars history. If the answer to all of this remains a mystery, I am still exceedingly happy with my purchase, but it would be great to know how this all transpired. Thanks for any input.

Short of the Monroney that came with the car Topix is going to be the most accurate source you will find for what options are on the car.

I have found that to be true. The TOPix has the most accurate representation so far. I guess my real mystery is how was this car presented for sale?? Checkered Flag vs Base P300. The two window stickers are $10,000 apart. And why was it built the way it showed up in the US. Neither sticker shows the Panoramic Roof and 770W Surround System which in effect adds another $2000. to the cost. Like I said, I am certainly the winner here!! But being human I am curious!!!

Was the panoramic roof even an option in that year? For mine (2016MY) it became standard but perhaps they made it optional again later.

The glass panoramic sunroof was an option in 2020 for at least the 4 cyl. models at $1175.00 The 770 W Surround System as $820,

If you have not already seen it below is a link to the 2020 F-Type brochure. It should provide some insight into what was standard equipment vs. optional equipment on your vehicle.
