Nearest dealer 152 miles away. 1/5th as bad as McClaren. I guess if there is a dealer in your city.

no McLaren in vegas but Lambo dealer and Ferrari/ everything dealer are regularly selling used. I guess need to be serviced in LA/Palm Springs or Scottsdale if on warranty.

It is not good for the brand. 3 transmissions in two years. Its a CPO car! $150,000 in repair bills. Wow!!

The MP4 does seem particularly troublesome in the transmission department. Hoovie’s car had an engine as well as 3 transmissions. It remains to be seen but so far the 570 seems to be fairing a lot better.

Its pretty low risk with a warranty. I wouldn’t own one without though - plus there is a McLaren service center 1.4 miles from where I live and not hundreds of miles away so I would (and am) considering one - that or a 458 at the end of this year.

The core problem with McLaren, IMHO, isn't their reputation for poor reliability. It is their anti-owner attitude. When you purchase one, you are not part of a family. To the contrary, it is McLaren against you in a fight to your financial death.

I’ve had 3 trannies in my FJ40 as well...but all at the same time and in perfect working condition. The only thing better than 1 stick shift is 3 sticks.

I am on my second transmission and 4 clutch with Jag, and it isn't because I don't know how to row my gears.

4th clutch here as well. This one seems to be holding up, but I’ve got a custom one sitting in inventory just in case.

Congratulations to anyone who has one, but IMO man it is one ugly Aston, the front is hideous , The F-type looks much sweeter

A rare disagreement from me, Powerhouse. Initially I wasnt keen on the new Vantage front end but it only took a few pictures for me to think it just eclipses the old in drama, if you parked them next to each other the old one would look very 2007 and stale. Personally I think the old vantage and db9 are prettier, but the new ones look like they are going to kill you and eat you and **** out your bones, and I find that style pretty appealing. Just look at the sexy hips in Rawwr's post above....grrrrrrrrrr!

Sorry, no, it's not an Aston forum, and yes, your baby is ugly. Ugly is a valid point, especially in this case. Humor is a perfectly acceptable way to point out the utterly hideous Aston, above.

In fact, many adults would argue that humor is the tactful way to address a hopeless freak of nature. I love a few Aston cars' styling, BTW, but that's off topic here.

That said, you taking "personal offense" to a Jag forum member making such an obvious point, combined with your passive aggressive personal attack, is woefully immature and unappreciated by everyone, world-wide.

Instead, entertain expressing gratitude when members of a Jag forum address your off-topic post, in a passive aggressive thread, with a much needed jolt into objective reality. Afterall, you requested our opinion.
