It is similar but AM did a great job on a few key areas. I know when Jag developed the F type they intentionally set out to develop the rear without a duck tail. But I love duck tail spoilers and the gills on the side of the new Vantage are amazing looking as well. It also carries an Aston Martin badge too which is pretty nifty.
They key key decision point for me is what the exhaust sounds like...and how much will they cost in a practical sense. They say $150k standard but by the time Ive optioned it the way I want, its might be >$200k.

I like it. This may sound contradictory to my comments about the butt ugly nose on the Lexus LS500 but I like the "Vulcan" inspired nose on this Vantage. It all subjective but I like what AM has done here. Interior is a tad too Mercedes for me with the touch pad but if it has british soul still I'll overlook that. Can't wait to test one when my son does his review.

i thought about this being a replacement for f-type v8 as well - it's pretty much the same basic formula
the side profile looks great, but the front end of this new design direction hasn't grown on me yet
the previous gen cars were about as good as the aston's have ever looked imo, the dbs being mount rushmore worthy
i couldn't buy such a nostalgic unique brand of car with a merc v8
but once they inevitably fit the new tt v12, i could overlook the weird styling and fk with one
