Probably not covered under warranty under this senario. It might be covered if it snapped under normal turn signaling situations where you had to signal in an emergent manner and it just snapped and you thought the plastic was brittle.

Otherwise, I know you have a 2017, but for the 2016 that part is $286. (Hopefully the link will work). It looks like an easy fix too.

Dude...I'd be screaming bloody murder for the parents to pay for that.

When I had my Audi S4, I had picked up my daughter and her friend from elementary school and had a bag of donut holes in the car. My daughter offered one to her friend with this cautionary note - "don't get anything on the seat or my dad will kill you and bury you in the garden next to the goldfish..."

Kids eh ?

So now I'm no longer allowed in my own car?

I like letting others sit in my car and have allowed numerous people - yes, even young people - drive it (under my guidance). Needless to say it all depends on who, what and where. Obviously this was a case of too young and too dumb. I certainly would expect - hope - that the parent(s) would, at the very least, offer to pay for the damages and whether or not you let them depends, I suppose, on your relationship with them.

Unfortunate in any case!

We have two sons. When they were particularly unnerving, I'd tell them their sister did the same thing.

Since this happened to you, and my using the turn signal these last few days...it wouldn't take much - at all! - to break that piece off.
