Wrap advice
I'm thinking of wrapping the rear venturi (diffuser) on my V6 because I don't like the plastic looking stock piece. I'd use a 3m film.
Am wondering about what the exhaust pipe heat might do to the wrap. The installer said it should be ok, but thought I'd check with more experienced minds here on the forum.
What do you guys think?
Also, how does wrap stand up to high pressure hose washing? My car gets weekly washes with that kind of hose so need to know whether I should give different instructions to the detailer.
Thanks!

Spoke to my wrap guy (9-yrs exper wrapping all sorts including frequent high-end stuff). He uses 3M exclusively.
On the heat, he doesn't see heat from the exhaust tips creating sufficient heat to ruin the wrap job. But, he cautions to keep the area clean (I learned something myself-- the wrap material has microscopic pores. Dirt can work its way into the wrap over time.) Pressure washing shouldn't be a problem either, assuming one keeps the wand moving and avoiding leaving it in one area, he tells me, just to attack a dirt spot that should be hand-washed instead.

I used to own a supercharged Mini Cooper S Works. The viper stripes (vinyl) on the rear bumper and tailgate were too far away from the exhaust to suffer from heat damage, but used to pick up spots of carbon that could only be removed using a paint renovator-type polish. It should be invisible on a CF wrap, but might bug you when detailing it.

I'm going to do the diffuser in gloss black, which may show those spots...
Have you thought about plastidip? I briefly thought about plastidipping the car for fun. It seems like it'd be easier than a wrap. When bored, just peel it off. For the diffuser, seems like you probably can just do it yourself very easily.

Btw it's pretty cool, the different materials available nowadays.
What color were u thinking?
thought about something bold like that firestone orange/red or a lighter shade of british racing green. my white is "clean" but can be bland at times. then again, the car already attracts way too much attention as-is.
I really like the firesand and black combo that Jay Leno got, but I saw it in the flesh at the dealers this week and didn't like it as much. The paint was neither matte nor glossy (similar to the lunar gray in glossiness) so with the boldness of the color it really didn't work. Wrap might actually look better than the Jaguar paint.

Thought the Team Sky Coupe's for the Tour De France looked great:
