my 03 jaguar x-type will not accelerate it will start and when i shift it into drive and press the gass pedal just the rpms ramp up if i press the pedal a little bit past 3000 rpms some power will go to the wheels this just happened a few days ago.

 

Henry01, odds are, you are low on tranny fluid. It will cause the tranny to go into a condition like this. I would start there and then see what you have. But, odds are, a quart of fluid is all that you need.

 

It could be a number of things even trans slippage best bet is to run a diagnosis scan and post the codes then will try to advise
