I am having a problem with my xk8. I just did the timing chains , put it all back together and now nothing happens when I turn the key except the dash lights come on. Where should I look to resolve this issue. I just pulled the starter on my xj8 last night and I don't want to do that to this car. It seemed like the same issue. The xk8 I get the same ohm reading .07 ohm. front to back so I believe the grounds are good..

 

I would 'jump' the starter relay terminals '30/87' (3/5) and see if direct power to the starter will energize?

 

Just tried. That wasn't it.

 

Since there was no action does that mean my starter is bad? I sure hope not. It was a hard job getting one out of my xj8 yesterday and don't like the idea of getting one out of the xk8.
