Cool 4.0 Inline Six Question

Hello,
The back of the cylinder head has a cover with six bolts. I noticed the one I removed did not have a gasket. Is there a special sealer used for this metal to metal contact. Is an upgrade to install a gasket? Should I make a gasket? If not why? ANy tips, thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Bob

There's a gasket for that cover, it's thin plastic. If you get a head gaslet set, it will be included. If you need one. PM me and I'll mail you one.

Default 4.0 Inline Six

Hi,
Thanks for the information. I looked for the gasket and did not see one but then again I did nor open the pack and was not looking for a plastic one. I will let you know if it is not there. What would be a good sealer for that? Permatex #3?
