'84 XJ6 Mysteriously Dies While in Idle
Hi everyone,
We have a 1983 XJ6 that we're having some problems with. The issue is that while the car is idling it sometimes the motor just stops running. I don't think that it's an electric issue, because the charge seems to be holding up. What do you all think? I was thinking possibly a bad fuel pump, but I'm not really Jag savvy.

The "could be" list a pretty long.
I'd start by cleaning the throttle body and making sure the throttle blade gap is a .002".
What's your idle speed by the way?
Also, is the problem in any way sensitive to engine temp?
Cheers
