Ok well this is the first Jag I have ever owned and I love the car but I am having issues with the instrument panel. All of the lights are extremely dim 80% of the time to the point where I can't read them unless it is dark but the speedometer and rpm gauge still work fine. Just recently starting today it has gotten to the point where all my instrument lights shut off completely and the speedo goes crazy just jumping around. Where should I even start? I have the original maintenance book that came with the car but it does not mention anything about the instrument panel. I am a diy mechanic but like I said this is my first jag and actually my first foreign car, I am used to old chevys and fords so please explain and don't just assume I know what you mean. Thanks in advance!

 

I noticed the sticky saying I need to supply the info on my car assumed it would be easy to figure out but sorry if it not. It is a 1989 Jaguar xj6 with left hand drive. Couldn't figure out how to edit my post sorry for double post.
