I sadly had to have hood and fender replaced, I'm pretty sure the dealership used aftermarket parts. I'm wondering if OEM replacements have any stampings or are marked in some visible way so that I can confirm my suspicions before confronting them. Hood flutters in the wind like tin foil...needless to say I've reached my boiling point! Any info is greatly appreciated as always..

I strongly suggest you make sure of your facts before doing so again and even then, NOT on the forum.

I disagree with your assessment of my post. Both terms are my opinion, clearly "pretty sure" and "my suspicions" are not direct accusations toward anyone specifically as I did not state the dealership name. In context, my question to the forum can not be taken as a statement of fact, as the point of my post was asking for help in ways to identify the panels as OEM due to my suspicions.


Over the course of my three years as site user I've seen posts that certainly have been more pointed than mine today. And that is a fact.

 

The plain fact is that there are no aftermarket panels for the hood or the front wings for these cars, everything was originally supplied by Jaguar or the OEM. Sounds like your hood needs the locations buffers and latches adjusting, that's all.
