Air Con Electrics Fault
Hello everyone,
I am in the UK but the same issue could have been experienced with right or left hand drive . I have an XF 2.2 diesel ( 2013/14 ) plate. I had 3 electrical faults in the same week which leads me to think there is a master fuse for these compnents. The three problems relate to the following:
Any help with this problem is very much appreciated.
Kind regards.
Patrick

- Air con ( Climate control ) All electrics still work on the console but there is no longer any air coming through the vents.
- Screen wash : The wipers still work ok but there is no water coming through the water jets - full bottle of water.
- ECO: The electrics on the console and instrument panel say that ECO is either on or off when I activate the button, but the engine doesnt should down when ECO is on.
Any help with this problem is very much appreciated.
Kind regards.
Patrick
Welcome back to the forums Patrick,
Another Jaguar and another set of electrical problems! I hope the intervening years have been trouble free.
Have you first eliminated the number one cause of weird electrical/electronic issues with modern Jaguars - a partially discharged or failing battery? The XF has a considerably more complex module and network design than your previous XJ8 and is very sensitive to battery condition.
As you have already checked fuses, the next logical step in troubleshooting would be a diagnostics session. However, I suspect you may not have access to Jaguar SDD or equivalent. A 'hard reset' could possibly help but does lose all learned adaptions such as window travel, radio presets and fuel trims.

Hello Patrick, Welcome!
The common thread is likely the OBDII.
Suspect a defective washer pump, unrelated to the other two.
But start with the A/C fan, as that is easy to evaluate. Check power to fan, if missing, check resistor in the air duct nearby the fan.
Download the service and electrical manuals found at the top of the page for self-help.
Keep us posted.

Look under your model but check other models too.
Translator did an excellent job; no doubt invested much time. But still treasure to be found in adjacent areas,
