Default Beeping/chiring noise from rear audio mount

So I bought my girlfriend and 2002 S type a few months ago. Recently she kept complaining about a beeping noise that would happen once in awhile. Well, now it's pretty much constant. It sounds like a heart monitor from a hospital room but in the back of the trunk. At first I thought it must be the cd changer but it appears to be coming from something above the amplifier and in between the two rear speakers. It is not the speakers. Any clues?

Unplug the module in the boot near the spare wheel.
