Can't get your nuts off!!??
Maybe a change in lubricant will help!!
Recently Machinist’s Workshop magazine tested penetrants for break out torque on rusted nuts.
They arranged a subjective test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque required to remove the nut from a “significantly rusted” environment.
The results:
Penetrating oil -- Average Load
None ---------------- 516 pounds
WD-40 -------------- 238 “
PB Blaster ---------- 214 “
Liquid Wrench ------ 127 “
Kano Kroil ---------- 106 “
ATF-Acetone mix --- 53 “
The ATF-Acetone mix was a “home Brew” mix of 50/50 automatic transmission fluid and acetone. Note that the “home Brew” was better than any commercial product in this one particular test. Of course, your experience may vary but it may be worth a try on in one of those really difficult situations we all run into from time to time.

hlgeorge, that is good information to have. Granted, I have always had better luck with PB Blaster than Kano Kroil and Liquid Wrench. So, it may be one of those things that having a few of them around and playing some will be of use. But the ATF/acetone mix is a new one to me and if it works as good as they say, it would also be dirt cheap to use too.
