I’m looking for a sportbrake and have been basically all throughout covid. I found one that’s being sold at a non Jaguar dealership. It has two previous owners. The second owner bought the car as a cpo model. It’s currently at a Hyundai dealer. Does it still have the remainder of the cpo warranty or does that get forfeited when the PO trades the car in?
I emailed the dealer and they said that only the remainder of the factory warranty is there. But my logic is if it was Jaguar that sold it as a cpo car with cpo warranty, shouldn’t that continue?
Probably best to confirm with the country Jaguar HQ. But for your information, I have bought 2 cars, with CPO from another country, had them brought into Canada and, the CPO was honored to the expiry date.
Perhaps a quick way to check is to dial the Jaguar toll free number, provide the VIN the ask for the expiry date.
@joeybananaz18 Silly me. 1-800-4JAGUAR
And as I’ve mentioned in many threads, a good relationship with a dealer and the provision of a VIN will get you not only the service history but the warranty information as well.
