elect prob
was driving last night,and I made it about 100ft.car died and wont turn over.car has run great till then.only problem is that I need a neww ignition switch which isn't made anymore.you have to hold key some what toward the right till the car has been running for a few seconds,but not to grind fly wheel.key likes to bounce back to the off position.drove fine otherwise

Is your 1986 XJ6 the Series III or the XJ40? Both models were produced in that year and both have XJ6 badges on the back!
