Default equus RepairSolutions opinions

Does anyone have opinions on Equus Repair Solutions (canobd2.com)? Seems like a good idea but it all depends on the quality of the data in their system. I'm generally good at pulling stuff apart and putting back together but not so much with thorough diagnosis knowledge, so, in theory, it could help me.

Welcome to the forum!

You should take a look at the Jaguar Technical Information System (JTIS) which is the official dealer maintenance/repair manual for '95 to '04 model years. It is available as a free download on this forum.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...=jtis+download

That contains the OBDII/DTCodes in a format that provides a list of diagnostic solutions in sorta order of probability. Of course, it also contains complete how to do it instructions.

I am not familiar with the Equus product but suspect that it is based on JTIS.

. . . and may I suggest that you add your model year and vehicle in you profile which helps responders provide specific information.

Yea, I was looking at JTIS also. I'm kind of torn between having to use Windows or paying 30$ for PDF's. We have a Windows PC in the house but I try to stay away from it. It would be nice to have the PDF's on the ipad.

My profile has "jag/s type/2002" in the "About me/Vehicle Info". Is there another place?

Thanks for your response!

I asked for information on code P0121 for my 2004 XJ8. I wound up telling them how I fixed it by WD-40 on the eletrical connection and plugging and unplugging the Throttle Position Sensor several times
