i have 2 1/2 inch pipes that start off from the cats with a magnaflow x pipe, 2 resignators, magnaflow universal exhaust boxes.......my car is having launching problems and the top end is not so great.....i want to know what kind of setup or exhaust can i put to get my power back.....my mods on the car are......performance intake from jaguar xp, performance pulley from xp, and ecu tuning from a buddy of mine. i need some serious help........my nearby performance exhaust shop said i have no back pressure and told me to put an exhaust brand called vibrant........i told him with 2 big resignators how can i have no back pressure....then he said its my magnaflow exhausts are too weak to be put on my car.....can some1 help me with my problem plzzzzz.

I think the Back-Pressure problem is BS, you have plenty...You may want to try changing the plugs.

You have made numerous changes to the car. These cars are computer controlled and with all the changes you have made, the computer may not function properly being confused with all the inputs it was not designed for. I put the XP cold air intake on my XJ8 and had to remove it as it would set off the CEL constantly. Just can't go too far with these cars.

I think selling this "p.o.s." might be the best thing for you.

Put some ice on those nuts! I don't think the issue here is the car, but what has been done to it that has made it P.O.S. Blame that car, not all Jags. Cars are so sofisticated these days, you can't do so much to it and expect the operation of the computers and sensors to perform well.[sm=badidea.gif]

I've used a wet towel and a fan had no ice at the time . I know its not the car.
What was done to the ECU? The STR is a fast, reliable and good looking auto. If you mess with it bring it to a pro that modifies for a living and has a good rep. It will cost you.

posting gliches again! I used a wet towel and fan to cool them down . I know
its not the car, its the mods. Even pros have a tough time modifying todays cars, and if they do it costs $$$.

Glad the mods finally worked out for you. The only place I would guess to get the larger rims are E Bay and Tirerack.
Yes I like speaking of my nuts but, you guys are doing a lot of talking about my nuts also? [sm=interesting.gif]

What exhaust did you end up with? I would also like a "DEEPER POWER SOUND"
for my 01 XJ8, and was thinking of changing the mufflers to the Magna-flows,
because they sound GREAT on my other cars, with no tuning problems, bad idea
for the Jag? and will I have to do some ECUtuning for this mod? TIA Alex
