Default Extended Service Contract experiences (Warranty aka)

Just looking for feedback on 3rd party extended Service contract experiences. Not looking for “they are a waste of money”, just first hand experiences. Just trying to avoid going off topic.

I keep my cars and run them until the wheels fall off.

1. name of ESC company
2. experience with service
3. would you buy it again?

thanks

I always thought these kinds of businesses are the kinds that rarely work out. You would be better off paying yourself into a separate account. You will come out ahead.

That being said, it would probably help to let us know what car you have.

I also tend to drive cars until they die.

I have a 2022 F-Type V8 supercharged. I had a 2011 XJ 5.0 naturally aspirated V8. The CPO warranty saved me from
some expensive repairs over its 100,000.00 mile life. The engine and trans were solid, the cooling system wasn’t. The suspension bushings were replaced twice. Also a rear main seal leak (twice). The leak wasn’t bad, but since it was under warranty, I had it fixed.

Would you say that the repairs cost more than the sum of all your extended warranty payments?

It was a Jaguar CPO warranty that went to a 100,000 miles. So I don’t know what it cost the dealership to add it to the sale.
