So I have gotten the dreaded "You must upgrade to the latest version of SDD" message. I was using V131 with update .1. I did not go to .4.

Any how, I am wanting to help Catstyle program a new key. With my 2003 S type, IDS was automatically called up for use. In preparation for helping Catstyle and his 2005 S Type, I manually entered a VIN for a 2005 S Type.

SDD loaded and stated that I needed to upgrade to the latest version. I could not get around this, only close the session. Is there a way to force IDS for later model cars? Or, is there a way to get around the update to latest version warning?

Yes, there is supposed to be a way. Never tested it though. Mongoose still sitting in customs

Possibly the date.
If I wanted to force updates, I would make the software check the date and if an update had not occurred within a certain number of days since installation (or a predefined date) I would disable all functionality except updating the software.

Of course, it might be possible to "fool" this policy by merely setting the date back to the day after installation, or maybe even a year before installation.

We'll see.
