I am newby here so sorry if the post is in wrong place. As i see there are a lot threads about SDD. So i would like to discuss some unanswered questions i have and maybe give you guys some information that i have acquired for 3 months testing and i assume i got it working right now, well this will be one of the questions i have.

So i bought cable from drewtech, i assume it is original then ? I cost me something 200-299 GBP i do not remeber exactly.

I got software(V139) and crack also. I have had so many errors while testing that i do not rember anymore. I have tested sdd on win 7 32bit and xp 32bit. First time i got "crack" called JLR patch something and it should to everything automatically. So to be said, it did not work not even once. Then i found files which i need to copy to runtime folder and JLR. After that program started to work but i did not have Datalogger just a blank screen and sometimes i got errors also.

As datalogger did not work i tried different cracks like crack for V142 from another forum and woila datalogger was working but campgains where grey( ofcourse i did clean installs like 10 times)

So actually the issue why datalogger did not work was that one file called gateway something... in runtime crack folder was faulty and if i copied all files except gateway SDD start working, datalogger was working. Right now i have not had any errors.

So what i wanted to ask if i can update car modules with versions V139 ? As i understand there are no " up to date files " on V139 or am i wrong? On test computer installed software at the stage where everything was working and connected to internet to download calibrations( i assume these are the ecu update files) ? It is downloading right now, total time of 10 hrs. I assume after download i need to replace crack again to get sdd working.

As i do not speak English every day, sorry for my faulty language

 

What vehicle do you drive, model, year?

If you purchased direct from Drewtech, you can assume it is genuine.

Newer versions of SDD require the internet to log into Topix for downloading information applicable to the diagnosis you are wanting to check (Campaigns).

The last version that was all inclusive and does not need Topix for anything is V130.03 if I remember rightly (for X350).

Downloading anything from Topix will probably render your system U/S.

I haven't heard anything about the gateway program causing errors but I will check it out.

Do you run a battery maintainer while using SDD, this will help avoid low battery/ electronic anomalies happening.

I have all of the following SDD versions if anyone is interested.
V125
V130
V134
V138
V139
V142

V139 didn't even install for me so I can't comment on it.

I have probably done as many fresh OS and SDD installs as you to finally get one working. Then after a week of non use, trying again it failed to read any data.

 

what do you mean by : Downloading anything from Topix will probably render your system U/S. ?

You could share the last version with offline files please.

Well funny thing is, after calibration files download and crack replacement everything works.

I would be very interested in an earlier version of sdd so that I do not have to log into the Topix system. I have a copy of 138 but I am unable to log into it.

easier SDD version is better then newer version (V140 later),cause V141,v142,,v143,145 needs activation and will expired if you do not install deep freeze sw. i am mentioning copy version
