will a 1998 transmission fit in a 1997 xk8? Lots of 1998 listed, but not many 1997

 

I dont see why not, as both would be the 5HP24 ZF unit.

A simple re-ask in the XK8 Tech section will get more, and better answers.

 

ALL AJ26 gearboxes will work. No matter if X308 or X100.
Some reports indicate that the AJ27 gearboxes will also work even though the part numbers are different.

There are some reports that the valve bodies and internal harnesses are different enough to cause DTCs?
