Default Jaguar key programmer

Hi all I have a customer with 2008 jaguar that the keys were lost. There's no one here in Freeport that can program the new keys. I have an IDS, will that be able to program?

Welcome to the forum Kenton Roker,

My immediate thought was you'll need SDD to program the key.

However, a 2008 Jaguar. That could be X150, X350/X358, S-Type, X-Type or XF and there's differences in keys.

No one in Freeport can program new keys - not even JLR Bahamas?

Graham

Sorry it's XType. That's correct no one in Freeport can program it. Can the Ids do it? If not where is the best to purchase an SDD.

If you mean Ford IDS then no it cannot program a key on an X-Type.

But if you have a Ford IDS with an original VCM interface (and I mean the old original VCM, not the VCM2 or a crappy Fly VCM clone) then you can use the JLR IDS software with the VCM to program a key.

The JLR IDS was up until 2009, so it will cover all X-Types.

If you want a copy I can help you, send me a PM.
