Update: It appears that in the last few days there may have been a windows update that means that the installer (setup) program for jPart will not work. You may get a blue box indicating you should 'contact the publisher'.
To use this, simply download the zip and extract the single file jpart.exe.
Copy that to somewhere on your machine where execution of programs is permitted. I would suggest c:\program files\jpart\
You should then double click to run the program. Assuming it works it should then find the JEPC files on your machine.
Once it is working, I would recommend creating a short cut and saving it on your desktop or on your task bar.
Many thanks to those who reported this issue to me. For anyone who is interested, the issue appears that the Python install tool I used now has some incompatibility with Windows. I will investigate, and perhaps use a new tool for future releases - but this version should work for now.
Thanks again Steve!
This is absolutely essential if you DIY your work.
Just a note that even with the update from MS my JPART is working fine as always.

No problem! I see you've been letting folks know about jPart in other threads - thanks.
I do plan to update, probably over the winter. I plan to add succession support (I've already done most of the work on that), and there's also some additional info JEPC file sets that could be included. I am subscribed to this thread, so if anyone has issues or questions, this is the best place to post them, because then I get a notification.
THANK YOU! My JEPC app wouldn't work any more after an update. The JPart works and is much better. I just downloaded (Win 10) it and used it for a simple search and it was awesome!! I'll keep you posted as I use it for other stuff
I have a 2014 so I think JEPC goes to the end 2019 for the XJ.
Check this thread as I wanted to continue it. The link should be good for 30 days. Download JEPC

@clubairth1 - thanks for posting the link to the JEPC data
For those who aren't aware, I'm the author of jPart. It's been a couple of years since I wrote it (as a side project over the winter), and since then I've been so busy with the 'day job' I have not had any chances to improve or enhance it. The good news is that I'm expecting that over the coming months I will have more spare time, and if there's still a real interest in this I may update jPart. It's definitely still a hobby project (I have a 20003 Jaguar XKR, and help out a lot of other folks with classic car issues, especially Jaguars, so having jPart helps me a lot).
I don't ever plan to charge for it, or make it commercial - but I would like to increase the number of users, and help out the classic Jaguar community.
It looks as if there is currently a small, but enthusiastic group of users.I'm definitely interested in any feedback you may have (good or bad...) on how you'd like to see jPart improved - any new features or functionality you think it needs? I'm looking for feedback - if you post in this thread that would be very helpful, and hopefully promote some discussion.
Thanks,
Steve

Reason: typos!
Well thanks again Steve! Your work returned the JEPC to us as it was pretty worthless after Flash was gone.
My main complaint is how JPART fills the screen? I run two monitors with the desktop covering both. I have trouble getting the diagrams on the right side to be fully visible. It could be my setup too? If I click to make it full screen then only a small portion of the diagram is visible and it only displays on one monitor.
I placed the red circle on the edge. I think it should continue and cover part of the E-mail window on the second monitor. It does if not full screen but then it's back to not seeing the diagrams in full. I can still move things around to see what I need but it is awkward.
One suggestion? Have you posted on the UK Jaguar forum? I think there are a number of people over there that would jump on it if they don't already know about JPART. UK Jaguar Forum

I see what you mean - if you maximize to one monitor (say the left hand one), then it is all on the one monitor.
One alternative is to do this: do not maximize, but instead 'grab' the right hand side of the jPart window and drag over onto the right hand monitor. That will extend the parts diagram. - I think this is close to what you are looking for?
I've just installed JPART tonight with the V18 version of JEPC (a bit of a battle with JPEC since my laptop tried everything to make it difficult to unpack!).
I have a 2018 MY XJ 575 (X351). I'm not sure which series of XJ I should select from the dropdown list of vehicles that appear. Any advice appreciated.
Use the XJ Range from V00001 from the drop down menu under "models". Yes they have a number of XJ's listed. Kinda confusing!
Glad to hear you got a good down load of JEPC. Not sure why but others have had problem's too?

I'm a bit late to the party but I've just come across this from seeing posts in other sub forums.
This is a fantastic resource. Just wanted to say a big thanks to @clubairth1 for making the effort to make JEPC files available and to @thefixer for a superb piece of work to develop the JPart software to make it all work.
Thanks much DJS! I did not have a permanent home for these and I am glad you stepped up to help.
If you don't have a working copy please get one. I use it a lot. And it's FREE!
