You dont have to go to the dealership. But in my honest opinion, in this case, I would. I would do this because there are a number of different sizes that the leaper cat comes in and you could probably compare the sizes there and decide which looks best. Not only that, but they can install it. I personally am a do-it-yourself kind of guy, but drilling holes in the hood isnt something that I would do myself on a new car. Those hoods arent cheap if you make a mistake. Just my opinion though.
