hi I am hoping someone here can help me or direct me where to go. I have the hood ornament off my fathers 1950's Jaguar and am wondering what the value if any there is to it. Also can someone tell me what year the vehicle was. I have attached the only picture I have of the vehicle.

I can tell you that it is a heavy leaping cat with red eyes. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I believe that the year was 1956. As for the leaper unfortunately they don't sell for a great deal. IN fact the newer ones seem to sell for more. ($20)

A Jaguar Mk I, one of 27000 manufactured between 1956 and 1960. At that a time, UK vehicle registration was the responsibility of Local Authorities and the registration number XUL 115 was issued by London C.C. in 1959.

Unfortunately the mascot will have more sentimental than cash value.
