Oil type - 04 xj8 - castrol or pennzoil?

I noticed on the engine cap that it says that Castrol is recommended for the engine. Would it be bad if I used Pennzoil synthetic instead of Castrol?

Only for Castrol's sales figures. No problem with Pennzoil or any other brand.

My local dealer here in the UK uses Castrol Magnatec Prodessional 5W30. However, if a different manufacturer sells an oil to the correct spec, then it will be perfectly OK. I assume Pennzil is a USA supplier, I haven't seen it here.

penzoil is now a subsidiary of rds (shell) should be ok,I'm particular with castrol
