Rear parking aid not working
marjie, welcome to the Forums. Lots of good information here and lots of people willing to assist with your issue. We believe in being a big community here and as part of that, it will benefit you to learn who the major players are here and in return, we get to know you. So, please stop by the New Member section and tells us a little bit about your car, you and what brought you to Jaguar. From there, you will meet those that make this place what it is.
As for your problem. I would first start with seeing if your rear back up lights are coming on when you put the car in Reverse. If not, fix that issue first and that will most likely fix your parking aid issue. If your back up lights are coming on like they should, then with the aid of a second person, have them put the car in reverse and keep the car still as you put your ear next to each of the 4 sensors in the bumper. You should hear a high pitched squeal/squak sound coming from each sensor. If 3 out of 4 are making a noise, then the quiet sensor is bad and needs replaced. If none of the 4 are making noise, then odds are, your back up module is either not getting power or it is not seeing the car being put into Reverse.
If you look, the site is broken down by model years and models of cars. Find the section that fits your car. That area will net you a more specific response than what I gave as that area deals specifically with your car and will have much more knowledge about what could be the issue.
