replacement heated windscreen - did they update the design?
My current X260 has a crack in the windshield/windscreen so at some point I will need to get it replaced.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this done recently and to see if the heating elements have been redesigned to be less visible, especially at night when I find the lines cause headlights etc to become more dazzling than a standard screen.
Here in Utah having the heated screen can be a big benefit so I don't want to go down the non-heated replacement path.
Thanks
Andy

Greetings Andy,
Suggest you ask this in the specific sub-forum that deals with your model. This forum is more for general tech queries and you are more likely to get an accurate response in that XF forum. What I can tell you is that a genuine OEM replacement is most likely identical to that which came with your car . . . heated wiring and all, if that's what your car has. Not aware of any "upgrades" to heated screens, if fitted. However, local glass stockists may source after market items that differ. Other members in your region could offer suggestions.
Cheers and best wishes,

The heating lines on X260 windshields are still visible, especially at night. No major redesign has made them “less dazzling” for night driving.
Replacement must be heated OEM or OEM-quality to maintain function
