Default Running SDD on M1 Mac

Good evening
I had been running SDD v130 and JEPC on my old intel-chip MacBook Air using a VMware virtual machine for Win7. Worked very well.

Unfortunately, that Mac met an untimely end… kitty is still under threat of becoming a pair of slippers😻
Anyway, I got a new MacBook Air with the M1 chip which is not supported by VMware.

So my question is has anyone used SDD and JEPC under Windows on the new Mac? I see Parallels and UTM may be alternate applications that allow running Windows, but I have no experience with these environments. I think Parallels won’t run Win7 which doesn’t support ARM chips so Win10 is my choice there. Trying not to buy an old Mac with intel chip or a Windows laptop.
Any recommendations or experiences with SDD on the M1 Mac are welcome.
Thanks.

Thanks Guy
Picking up a used Windows laptop is an option. Never have been a PC guy though so Macs are the devil I know so to speak.
I found SDD and JEPC ran very well on the Mac VM. Very stable.

I have a 2012 13" MacBook Pro you can have for 200.00 with original box and materials.. We can chat about it.. I too have a new M1 14" Pro Max 64gb ram & 4tb of SSD... Hard to find older apps that run in this environment.
Boot Camp and Parllels are solid alternatives for running windows on the M1

Thank you for the offer and the thumbs up on boot camp and parallels. After the kitty debacle, I got SDD running on an older Intel iMac. Program runs fine with the car but just is more inconvenient than a laptop due to the size of the computer. I will say the bigger iMac screen makes it easier on my old eyes.
Best to you in the holidays and the New Year.

Yes, SDD does run well for me under VMware on my intel processor Mac.
Unfortunately, unless something has changed, VMware isn’t supported on the newer Apple processor machines like my M1 Macbook Air.

Parallels on the M1 runs really well with windows. Haven't tried SDD or pathfinder as of yet.
