An OVA file is a "virtual machine" in Oracle VM format. The one you have should be a complete functioning Windows OS (should be Windows XP Pro) with an installation of Jaguar SDD.

To be able to run it you will have to download and install Oracle VM Virtual Box and then use the "Import Appliance" function to import the OVA.

If that's immediately clear, all well and good. If you're thinking "what the .......!" then this could become a lengthy thread.

Hi Graham,

If i understand what your saying.
i need to run virtual machine. [ ive used this before on a win7 laptop to get win xp ]
I was hoping that because i had a real version of Wjn xp i could load v125 straight onto this rather than mess about with VM.

Thanks for your reply

You'll need the installation fileset for your chosen version of SDD and plenty of time. An install takes several hours to complete.

The earliest version I have is SDD 1.30 which is going back more than seven years and the installation fileset is 6.8 GB. Other members may have the filset for v1.25 which is likely to be smaller.

I have SDD 125,126,127,128,129,130,131,132 with SPA and updates for all.(off-line authentication)
I also have many versions of WDS and IDS.
The files can be put on a USB flashdrive or uploaded to a file-sharing site.
Let me know if I can upload somewhere?

Thanks GGG and motorcarman. What I'm trying to do is use IDS and not SDD to input car specs. I member being able to do that back in the day. I believe v125 is the last one that allows you to launch IDS without using SDD first.

I believe my VID block is corrupt, and hoping IDS will allow me to rebuild it.

Motorcarman, thanks for the offer of hosting, but I'm not sure how to do this ?

Bob,

I've made a shared folder on MediaFire where you could upload the requested SDD fileset.

http://www.mediafire.com/filedrop/fi...641c8bf75f2033

If you want to try it this way, I can then give a link for melhookv12 to download them.

I remember years ago I sent H2Oboy many many files and documents and he asked how many more I had. I told him I had maybe 20 GB and he told me to STOP sending them to him.
I was contacted by an ADMIN in France to upload directly to the mediafire account. I spent days uploading files but I don't think I still have the link and password to the mediafire account.
I'll see if I can upload the files to the link.

That would have been Translator (Richard) who lives in France and was a forum Super Mod until six years ago.

Supposedly ALL of the SDD 125 files are uploaded. I don't know where the files are but it said DONE so I guess they are there(somewhere).

They are "in the cloud" which is why I never use online storage for anything personal.

This is the link to the folder:
http://www.mediafire.com/folder/p10k.../JAGUAR_FORUMS

Looks like a duplication on the top one?

I've shared the folder so melhoov12 should be able to download the fileset.

I guess the Authentication did get uploaded twice?
Also, the SDD 125_124update is not required if you don't have 124 on your computer already.(it just installs files to update 124 to 125)
Just install 125 FULL and then the updates if you want the updates.

So do I need to create a VM, then load v125 onto it? Or can I use it directly on my win xp laptop. I can't access the internet on that laptop.

As a side note, a friend has given me v113, which is just IDS, but I think I need VCM to run this.

Would there be any interest in v113 ?

Just download the files and put the SDD125_FULL on a DVD or USB flashdrive.
Then put the rest on a DVD or flashdrive and update the software if you want.

Read the instructions and save the 'username/password' for offline authentication.
I have all the versions on DVD and on a HDD for backup.

Run the software 'AS IS' on a Windows XP Pro 32 bit.

I use IDS 118.5 on my Rotunda VCM because I never was trained on SDD so I don't have a use for it.(SDD started with DVD 119)
Whatever I work on uses IDS anyway.

The passthrough devices (Mongoose etc.) need SDD125 ONWARD but the Rotunda VCM will run ALL the IDS/SDD from 2006 (IDS 42) up to where VCM 2 comes into play?

Heck, I still use WDS once-in-a-while.
