From what I have read on the forum, you need a press to remove the bushings.
Might try Harbor Freight Tools.

Gus, I have in the past used a large vise and used a socket that would just fit into the center of the shock mount to push the bushing out and then on the opposite side, I place a slightly larger socket to allow a place for the bushing to go. So, you end up vise jaw - small socket - shock - large socket - vice jaw. From there, you can close the vice and the small socket will push the bushing out. Then to install, you simply push the bushing as far as you can into the shock, then use the small socket to push the bushing in the rest of the way using the same setup.

If you need more help with this, let me know.

Chris,

I was in the process of pulling together what you suggested and I thought maybe a tool was available. I will let you know how I make out.

Gus, just a thought, you might be able to take a tool like say a valve spring compressor (one of the big C shaped ones) and use that to press the bushings out. Could even possibly make a small post to feed through the bushing to help make sure that the bushing doesn't go flying. The big thing if you do that is to make sure the center post is a lot smaller than the bushing hole so the bushing has somewhere to compress as you are pushing it into place.

I have used "Harbor Freight's" 4x4 Service Kit on other vehicles with great results.
