Did you perform a search of the XF (X250) forum for discussion threads on this subject?

It is also quite helpful if you can provide the MY of your vehicle along with engine type, displacement and current kilometres/miles.

I don't have an XF, but every car I've had that made the sound yours is making was taken car of with some spay lube. Just try to get as inside all the bushings as you can. It helps to put a shop rag under the area you're going to spray. Unload on anything suspect. 90% chance it's gone afterwards.

The XF suspension is basically the same as the S-type, the XJ, and the XK cars. There are two rear wishbones each with bushes, and on the lower one, the two swivel bushes can wear out. The top wishbone has a steel balljoint on it, plus two swivel bushes, so there are a lot of places you could get a squeak from. Oh, and I nearly forgot the rear stabiliser link; another part with a steel balljoint one end and a swivel joint at the other.
