Default stolen exhaust

Hello just a quick general question. Recently went out to work on jag and found out that someone has stolen the cats out from under it. Just wonder if they are a specific cat that is needed or just any old cats will work for it. Also how much do they run?

I have seen universal cats on the cars. Much cheaper than factory ones.

yeah id get some generic ones. Wehn i had my jeep, one of the times i took it off roading i hit the exhuast and bent it up pretty bad
dealer wanted like $400-$800 to replace it ( cant remember) took it to a local joe muffler shop that did it for $50 custom cat back, and sat up higher, sounded a little better, with a slight performace increase.....i couldnt have been happier! Thank God my blown head gasket was covered under warranty tho!

In 2010 someome attempted to steal my bumper and headlights of my 88 XJ-S.
The rubber cosmetic cover that goes between the bumper and the car was removed on one side, the other one was taken, and there was screw driver marks under the headlights.
Someone in a 87 back X-JS had been following a few days before.
The 87 has NO CHROME on the bumper like the 88 does so I think it was them as they tried to chat me up a few days before!
Watch your mirrors and tail light covers....a few minutes with a screw driver and they're gone.
Six years ago I needed a headlight....it was found in Belgium as the light could not be found in Canada or the USA......
KEEP YOUR CAR IN A LOCKED GARAGE, with the doors locked and the windows rolled up and put a steering wheel lock on it.
And do not leave it unattended in public for more than it take a a thief with a tow truck to take it!
Buy a wheel lock for one of the wheels and turn your front wheels into the curb when you parallel park so it can't be towed!
Parallel parking is much safer than a parking lot.
