Default Those heat packs under the intake manifold

So I had to replace the hose under the intake and found to my surprise two plastic wrapped packs. One has several holes in the plastic. Is it safe to put them back in when I put the manifold back on, or do I need new ones or can I just leave them out?

Put them back in. They help reduce the engine block heat from the intake air charge. The holes wont matter
