Welcome to the forums Chris,

If you had started in the usual way by posting an Intro in https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...-intro-must-5/ telling us something about yourself and your vehicle, you would have been directed to the relevant model forum to post this question.

Chris,

It appears this is a current (2009 onwards) model XJ.

The sensor batteries have approximately a five year life so the age of the vehicle will tell you if this is a possible cause.

When the TPMS system detects a malfunction, the dash warning flashes for approximately one minute and then remains continuously illuminated. This sequence continues on subsequent vehicle start-ups as long as the malfunction exists. If the sensor batteries are OK and you haven't had a recent wheel/tyre change then over inflating by about 5 psi and dropping the pressure back to normal can often clear the TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM FAULT message.

There is an individual battery on each sensor inside the wheel. The tyre has to be removed to access the sensor and the batteries are non-replaceable.

I recommend you take the question to X351 forum for advice from members with the same model. Don't forget to add MODEL YEAR details as the system is slightly different on later models.
