Type of burned CD that works in changer
I made a cd the other day but it wont play in my cd changer. With some cars certain burned cds will work in the factory radios. Can some one post the brand of cdr or cdrw that will work inthe jag cd changer?
Thanks.
Thanks.
As long as you burn it in an audio file format (CD)it should work no matter what. Never had one that hasnt worked yet. Try re-burning the disk and see if that works out for ya. Do not burn it in .mp3 or .wma.
Older CD Players in my cars never played audio-file formatted CDs nor mp3 CDs.
This is on a 1998 and a 1999, respectively.
The weird thing is I had to convert my mp3s to wavs and then burn it as a data .wav CD and then it would play...go fig!
The stupid wav format was huge and I could only fit like 5/6 songs/CD. Let's just say my first investment was an aem receiver.

burned Cd's used to playin my 03 X-Type but they don't anymore.. Its kind of frustrating. So I just installed a custom XM radio. Its cheaper than buying a whole new head unit. Although, I still might go that route so I can use my iPod.
