Default v12 right exhaust removal for starter replacement

I have removed the 4 exhaust flange nuts and the flange collars are down and yet the exhaust won't come off and drop down. Do the donuts ever seize the header pipes to the manifold? Anyone else ever have this problem? thx

YES.

Not unique to Jags, but a majpr PITA to release them, especially if they have Cats, as I think your market does, we dont. Still a mongrel. Usually about a 12 beer task on a good day.

Slowly wiggle the pipes, then a bigger wiggle, etc, and it will fee up. Worse one I did took 2 days, and it was a Pre HE, so older by a good few years.

Sprays etc are hot and mis, thanks to gravity.

NO cats, and starter can be wiggled out, done that a few times also.

K thx for the reply, I have pounded on the header with a 1 inch piece of pipe and 2LB hammer and it feels like it is still bolted tight so I will try the wiggle action and see if that can work and yes it has cats. thx again Grant.

The donuts definitely weld themselves solid. Give the pipe a few hard knocks with a mallet right at the flange it'll pop. Also make sure there's no bracket mid-pipe holding the tension up.
