I need to decide between buying a replacement engine, and having my own engine rebuilt.

I'm looking for a recommendation by a member for someone who is reliable and technically excellent to remanufacture my engine.

I'd like to compare the price between buying a replacement - recovered or remanufactured, and getting my own remanufactured.

 

I see you're in the Republic of Ireland, so things are a bit more difficult than if you were living in the English midlands. First off, I would search for Jaguar specialists in North West England. There is a firm in North Wales who might be able to help, (nearest to you, I would think): -

Generally speaking, a used engine from a car scrapped due to an accident is probably cheaper than a rebuild of your engine. What is wrong with it, anyway ?
