Hi All,
We've just bought a T reg (early) X Type with the 3l V6 and auto box. It seems to work really well, not much rust and generally tidy interior.
There are a few problems though. The big one so far is the washer fluid not working.
Following the help on here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...solved-175911/ I've checked out the fuse (okay) and the relay (okay). The pump works when I connect 12v directly to it. The wipers swish when the switch is pressed do I don't think this is broken.
I have good conductivity from the relay to the pump.
Attached wiring diag for wiper washer relay
I think the next steps are to try jumping terminal 3 and 5 and seeing if that powers the pump (is the feed to 3 switched or always on?)
Looking for 12v on terminal 1 when the switch is engaged.
Checking for continuity from the ground end of the cable pump end to a good earth on the chassis.
Where is the earthing point for this part of the loom?
It feels like it must be a wiring problem somewhere, it feels like a bad earth somewhere or no power to the relay from the switch.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks.
