I test drove the XML and 750li today. I am a 6'3 200lbs male of slim build and I found that the left and right side cushions at the lower back made for a tight squeeze. Both the salesman and I spent some time trying to adjust the seats to see if we could widen the space without success. I sat in a few other XJs and still experienced that sensation. Is there an adjustment that we could not figure out, or is this normal? I would think this would be very uncomfortable for anyone with larger than my 36" waistline.... I liked the interior and the exterior lines of the XJ, but seat comfort could sway me over to purchase the 750LI. Appreciate your help to a prospective buyer.

We have several members here both taller and heavier than you. The usual difficulty is legroom and headroom so there must be a way of getting comfortable.

At a miniscule 5'11" and 170lb, I don't have problems. Hopefully some of the taller owners can offer advice.
