Thanks for sharing Rob. As I've posted on another thread, my I-Pace has been with the dealership for 8+ months now with no solution. Very disappointing.

That's not good. I'd be disappointed as well if this happened to me.

Default Breach of warranty / buybacks?

I’m an owner of a 2019. One of several in my area with a bad battery cell. Apparently there are no replacement cells anywhere in the US or UK and (according to my local service manager) no more will be produced. So, I’m driving around my car with a missing cell and unable to charge the car past 72 percent. That same service manager shared that he had heard rumors of buybacks for the 2019s. Is anyone aware of similar issues and/or potential buybacks?

Earlier today I hired a lawyer - wondering if others are doing the same.

Yes, I've retained a lawyer. My I-Pace has been in the shop since July 26, 2023.

mind if I ask what steps you’ve taken / are planning? We are starting with a demand letter. Have you made contact with JLR yet?

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, and best of luck. Your progress, or lack thereof, can help inform the other owners on their options. Sorry this is happening.

We've submitted a demand letter, but no response yet. It apparently needs to go to the consumer affairs department, not the customer relationship center. We sent to both, but have only heard from the latter so far.

Default Car returned

So my dealership called me up last week, and told me that my 2019 I-Pace was fixed and ready to be picked up. I picked it up Thursday afternoon, and apparently there are no restrictions on charging. I don't know what I am going to do now. I love the car and am happy to have it back, but I'm nervous about if anything else goes wrong and it goes out of warranty.
